The Commission cautions participants to refrain from engaging in collusive practices when participating in the subsidy programmes under the Hong Kong Government’s Anti-Epidemic Fund.

Business participants are warned against specific anti-competitive infringements including to be a part of an anti-competitive agreement with competitors to rig bids, fix prices, share markets or exchange competitively sensitive information; or by allowing an application for Government subsidies to be submitted in their names knowing that the same application contains quotations that were obtained as a result of supplier collusion.

The Commission reiterates that it “will spare no effort in pursuing suspected contraventions with the full force of the law”. Public bodies are also encouraged to stay alert against any collusive conduct.
